Joint graduation ceremony of the Johannes-Brenz-Gemeinschaftsschule
Surrounded by festive flower arrangements, the 99 graduating pupils of the Johannes-Brenz-Gemeinschaftsschule will receive their certificates on Friday, 12 July. As in the previous year, those taking the Realschule leaving examination and those taking the Hauptschule leaving examination will celebrate their graduation together. Teachers, parents and friends will gather in the Hagenbach-Halle for a varied programme, followed by refreshments.
After a moving musical opening by the school band under the direction of Markus Schneider, headteacher Andrea Fürle gives the opening speech. The pupils Jana Sudler and Julia Wehr then guide the audience engagingly through the programme of music, dance, a film clip, various speeches and, of course, the presentation of certificates.
„Do you still remember how we were five years ago…?“ The teachers of the Year 9 classes begin their speech by recalling shared experiences. „I’m sure you remember many more things,“ adds Tanja Schütz, form tutor of class 9e, and wishes the young people „that you manage to see joy even in small moments that seem insignificant at first glance, because life does not take place in the past or in the future, but in the present moment.“
Parent representative Timo Hack also congratulates the graduates, wishes them all the best and ends his address with the enthusiastic cry „Hip, hip, hooray for you Year 9s and 10s!“
The form tutors of the Year 10 classes also address their pupils, recall shared experiences and congratulate them on passing their examinations. „Today is your big day, when your efforts are rewarded,“ remarks Marco Dierolf, form tutor of class 10b, visibly delighted.
The highlight of the ceremony is finally the presentation of certificates, for which the young people walk onto the stage to a song of their own choice. Luisa Fritz achieved the best Realschule certificate with an overall average of 1.5. She also receives a prize and the subject award for Sport. Evelin Adejkin is delighted with the best Hauptschule leaving certificate, with an average of 2.1. She receives a commendation. The social award for outstanding social commitment in Year 10 is accepted by Eric Zimmermann. The social award for Year 9 pupils goes to Ziarmal Amarkhil.
