Erasmus Plus in Épinal: Experiencing Europe

Published on

Pupils from our school met their partners from Épinal and Italy to explore Europe together.

A highlight was the reception at the town hall, where Mayor Patrick Nardin emphasised the special nature of the trinational exchange. Afterwards, the international groups explored the town and tackled exciting tasks together – perfect for strengthening teamwork and intercultural understanding.

French and English served as the languages of communication: French during the exchange on site, English as a lingua franca when words were missing. This way, everyone was able to improve their language skills.

The programme included a workshop in a local bakery, visits to the Musée de l’Image and the planetarium. Despite the packed schedule, the pupils remained motivated at all times.

At the end of the week, everyone returned home tired but happy – with new impressions, language skills and many friendships across borders.
