In Year 9, pupils continue to be taught in their class group. In addition, they are individually prepared in the main subjects for the qualification they are aiming for,

While pupils are intensively prepared for the Hauptschulabschluss (lower secondary leaving certificate) in the main subjects, support with choosing a career also remains a key focus. Many pupils see the Hauptschulabschluss as a kind of safety net, because afterwards several educational paths are open to them:
\n \n– Vocational training
\n \n– 2-year vocational school (Berufsfachschule)
\n \n– Mittlere Reife (intermediate school leaving certificate) in one or two years at our school

Year 9 also has plenty in store for pupils who are aiming directly for the Realschulabschluss or the Abitur: the „Projekt Soziales Engagement“ (Social Engagement Project), which began in Year 8, will be continued and completed. Furthermore, career orientation and applications take centre stage in the subjects WBS and German, preparing pupils for the work placement in the second half-year and for vocational training.
