From 22.05.2023 to 26.05.2023 we had the privilege of getting to know the Portuguese school system in Odivelas (Portugal) by visiting 6 schools.
Not only by observing lessons but also through an intensive exchange with our Portuguese colleagues, we gained a deep insight into everyday school and teaching life. The openness and warmth of the schools, which opened their doors to us and answered every question, made a lasting impression on us. The already far-advanced digitalisation of the schools, in which all pupils receive a laptop as well as internet access at home (funded by the state), also impressed us greatly. In addition, the intercultural exchange was enriching for both sides, and the good cooperation and communication in English has led to pupil exchanges with Portugal being considered for the future.
