On November 22, our grade 10 IMP course visited the Experimenta in Heilbronn together with Ms. Baumgärtner and Mr. Krämer to take part in an exciting lab course on the topic of “Microcontroller Programming”. In this advanced workshop, the students had the opportunity to learn about the textual programming of Arduino microcontrollers and to realize their own projects.
After the theoretical introduction, the students were allowed to unleash their creativity and implement their own projects. The projects ranged from simple LED controls to more complex applications involving sensors and actuators. From brightly lit lamps to a parking aid with a distance meter and a creative clicker game, many individual projects were created.
The workshop lasted a total of 3.5 hours and offered the participants not only a valuable learning experience, but also the opportunity to acquire practical skills in programming and working with hardware. The enthusiasm and motivation of the students was palpable throughout the course.
Overall, the lab course was a complete success. We would like to thank Experimenta for the excellent organization and the inspiring atmosphere.
We are already looking forward to future projects and workshops!
