Joint graduation ceremony at the Johannes-Brenz-Gemeinschaftsschule
Behind festive floral decorations, the 99 graduating students of the Johannes-Brenz-Gemeinschaftsschule will receive their certificates on Friday, July 12. As in the previous year, the graduates of the Realschulabschlussprüfung and the Hauptschulabschlussprüfung celebrate their graduation together. Teachers, parents and friends gather in the Hagenbach Hall for a varied program followed by refreshments.
After a touching musical prelude by the school band under the direction of Markus Schneider, principal Andrea Fürle gives the opening speech. The students Jana Sudler and Julia Wehr then lead through the program of music, dance, a film excerpt, various speeches and, of course, the presentation of certificates.
“Do you remember five years ago…? The teachers of year 9 begin their speech and reminisce about shared experiences. “I’m sure you remember a lot more,” adds Tanja Schütz, class teacher of year 9e, and wishes the young people “that you manage to see joy even in small, at first glance insignificant moments, because life doesn’t take place in the past or in the future, but in the moment.”
Parents’ representative Timo Hack also congratulates the graduates, wishes them all the best and ends his speech with the euphoric exclamation “Hip, hip, hooray for you 9s and 10s!”
The class teachers of year 10 also address their students, reminiscing about shared experiences and congratulating them on passing their exams. “Today is your big day, when your efforts will be rewarded,” says Marco Dierolf, class teacher of year 10b, visibly pleased.
Finally, the highlight of the ceremony is the presentation of certificates, for which the young people run onto the stage with a song of their choice. Luisa Fritz achieved the best secondary school certificate with an overall average of 1.5. She also received a prize and the sports prize. Evelin Adejkin was awarded the best secondary school certificate with an average of 2.1. She receives a commendation. Eric Zimmermann receives the social prize for special social commitment in year 10. The social prize for ninth graders goes to Ziarmal Amarkhil.
