A week in the Algarve in Portugal? Until recently, even I could only have imagined it as a vacation.

So I was all the more pleased when the opportunity arose to attend a week-long training course here with Erasmus+ on the topic of “Recognizing and resolving social conflicts at school”.

The daily inputs from the team of trainers covered topics such as strengthening pupils with positive psychology and building strength-oriented teaching and learning. I was able to take a lot away with me for our school and my own everyday school life. The week was also an opportunity to talk to the other 30 or so teachers from Germany and Austria, to exchange ideas about different school systems, ideas and teaching approaches and to network for future projects.
