On March 6 and 7, 2024, the motto was “Take your future into your own hands!” when Dagmar Zwilling, teacher at Johannes-Brenz-Gemeinschaftsschule, opened the doors to trainee speed dating for students in grades 8 to 13.

33 companies took a seat in the auditorium to once again provide information about careers, courses of study and internships and to introduce themselves. Once again, there was the opportunity to practise a job interview, hand in documents for an apprenticeship or internship or find out more about the companies themselves.

This was the second time that the cooperation between the Kaufmännische Schule Schwäbisch Hall and the Johannes-Brenz-Gemeinschaftsschule took place at the Schulzentrum West. Being able to conduct up to 75 interviews within 240 minutes is an outstanding opportunity for companies, institutions, authorities and, of course, for the students. The teenagers and young adults excelled themselves on this day. Making a suitable appearance, making a first impression and approaching adults from HR departments independently was a big step for a number of students, which many were able to master successfully. “Definitely do it again!” and “That was a highlight for me!” This was the feedback from many companies and the students. The participating companies were impressed by the high-quality discussions and the appealing format in the atmosphere of the auditorium. Not only the representatives of the companies, but also the students left the auditorium with a satisfied smile on their faces.
