The story of Little Red Riding Hood and Mr. Wolff, which Michael Szutta from the Freilichtspiele told the fifth graders in a lively way on May 25, sounds somewhat different from the fairy tale in German class.
In preparation for the upcoming play, the pupils took part in a workshop to playfully explore the content of the play. The organizers of the workshop read from their dusty fairy tale book, which Michael found boring and well-worn. Instead, he presented the fifth graders with a different version of the fairy tale. How? Mr. Wolff isn’t evil at all, just a bit strange? The real villain is the trigger-happy hunter who is after the rare animal’s precious fur? This got many a fifth grader thinking. As a mental break, two games were played in between, where you either had to remember the names of the characters or be quicker than the hunter. Now, after the workshop, everyone can look forward to July 12, when they will actually go to the theater. We can’t wait to see what happens next with Little Red Riding Hood, Grandma, the huntsman and Mr. Wolff.
