Erasmus+ in Croatia

On Sunday, 11 May, a group of 24 pupils from Year 8, together with Frau Erkert and Frau Franzke, set off for Croatia. More precisely, they travelled to Čakovec to meet a group of young people from Zamość, our partner school in Poland, for a project under Erasmus+. The main focus was on robotics, but the emphasis was also on the young people getting to know each other and communicating in English.
That is why getting-to-know-you games were on the programme at the beginning, before they went on an excursion to the Slovenian town of Maribor. In addition, over the course of the week the pupils were introduced to the school and the Croatian school system, and they took part in various workshops on upcycling.
A highlight was the hotel’s swimming pool and the fact that Portugal’s U15 national football team, and therefore the son of Cristiano Ronaldo, were staying in the same hotel.
On Friday, the journey home took them via Zagreb.
