Presentation of our project on the “Global Goals” of the 8th grades

On Wednesday, 9 July 2025, numerous parents gathered in our 7th and 8th grade stream rooms to have the pupils present and explain their results on the 17 “Global Goals” of the United Nations.

While the young people were still making final preparations in the background, headteacher Andrea Fürle and the teaching team around Frau Erkert, Frau Franzke, Frau Wieser, Frau Mamberger, Frau Zwilling and Herr Wunderlich gave insights into the project lessons.

To give more in-depth time to the theme of independence, the pupils worked independently in small groups. Over several weeks, they developed a Global Goal of their own choice using the EduScrum method. The task was to get to know the Global Goal. However, it was not meant to be just a presentation of the pure content. Rather, it was also about finding, as a group and independently, a solution for how this goal could be achieved.

For their research, the pupils were offered every option. For example, it was possible to carry out an expert interview in a company, send an interview request by email, run surveys within the school, and set up and evaluate experiments or models. There were also varied options for presenting the results. Videos were made, podcasts recorded, PowerPoints and live talks given, or a role play performed. The next morning, our 7th grades and other teachers at our school were also given the chance to view the results from project 8. All visitors were encouraged to ask questions and offer presentation tips.
