This school year, Year 6 at the Johannes-Brenz-Gemeinschaftsschule took part in a road safety education project. The event, run in cooperation with the police and the Red Cross, was designed to draw attention to how dangerous road traffic can be.
There were various stations, which the pupils visited class by class. Recovery position, bicycle check, view from a lorry, “What can’t you see?”
After a police video with tips on how to behave in traffic, there was a question-and-answer session. Afterwards, an accident involving a lorry and a bicycle was simulated. In the individual groups, pupils could ask questions, which were answered competently and in a friendly way.
