Insight into learning with a concept: Open day at the Johannes-Brenz-Gemeinschaftsschule

On Saturday, 28 February 2026, the Johannes-Brenz-Gemeinschaftsschule opened its doors from 10.00 to
13.00 and many interested families took the opportunity to get to know our school.
Once again, there was a great turnout.

From 9.30 am, guests could already arrive in the Rondell and choose from numerous workshops.
At 10.00 am, headteacher Andrea Fürle welcomed the visitors in the
hall. The wind band and the choir of Years 5 and 7 provided a successful musical start.
In the discussion that followed, it became clear what our school stands for: learning together, individual support and diverse routes to qualifications. Andrea Fürle presented the basic principles of the Gemeinschaftsschule. Tim Cornelius gave insights into school social work. Dagmar Zwilling provided information about the career orientation concept. Natalie Brümmer presented the international activities within the framework of Erasmus+. At the same time, parents could find out about the sixth form.

From 11.15 am, guided tours of the school building invited visitors to explore the premises and learning environments.
In the classrooms, there were numerous hands-on activities: science experiments, technology with 3D printing, creative workshops and much more. The various classes took care of refreshments, which helped create a pleasant
atmosphere.
The open day made it clear: at the Johannes-Brenz-Gemeinschaftsschule, learning is varied, practical and shaped together.
