A week on the Algarve in Portugal? Until recently, I could only have imagined that as a holiday.
All the more reason I was delighted when the opportunity arose to attend a week-long training course with Erasmus+ on the topic of “Recognising and Resolving Social Conflicts in School”.
The daily input sessions from the trainer team covered, among other things, strengthening pupils with positive psychology and building strength-oriented teaching and learning. I was able to take away a great deal for our school and for my own everyday school life. The week also offered a good opportunity to talk with the roughly 30 other educators from Germany and Austria, to exchange ideas about different school systems and teaching approaches, and to network for future projects.
