On 20.06.2023 and 21.06.2023, the Bundesjugendspiele (German Federal Youth Games) took place for years 5 to 9. Despite great heat and occasional rain on the second day, they were a huge success. As is traditional, pupils from the GMS and the Sonnenhof were active together on Wednesday. After a joint warm-up with the Hip-Hop club, the pupils started their competition. The 800m run, long jump, ball throw and sprint were on the programme, and they were loudly cheered on by year 10, who helped out and celebrated every participant. Anyone who still had energy in between or at the end could let it out at the game stations in the hall, run by the pupils from the Sport profile subject.
