Somewhat different from the fairy tale in German lessons, the story of Little Red Riding Hood and Mr Wolff, which Michael Szutta from the Freilichtspiele tells the Year 5 pupils in a lively way on 25 May, sounds quite different.
In preparation for the upcoming theatre play, the pupils took part in a workshop where they playfully explored the content of the play. The workshop organisers read aloud from their dusty fairy tale book, which Michael, however, found boring and worn out. Instead, he presented the Year 5 pupils with a different version of the fairy tale. What? Mr Wolff isn’t evil at all, just a bit strange? The real villain is the trigger-happy hunter who is after the precious fur of the rare animal? Here, many a Year 5 pupil started to think. As a mental break, two games were played in between, in which you had to either remember the names of the characters or be quicker than the hunter yourself. Now, after the workshop, everyone can look forward to 12 July, because then it’s off to the theatre for real. We are excited to see how things go on with Little Red Riding Hood, the Grandmother, the Hunter and Mr Wolff.
